Tumour Immunology, Cancer Vaccine, Cellular Therapies in Cancer Treatment, and Transplantation Science Board

Türkiye Cancer Institute Tumour Immunology, Cancer Vaccine, Cellular Therapies in Cancer Treatment, and Transplantation Science Board consists of a total of 5 individuals, including the Head of the Institute and 4 members. Board members are selected for a two-year term by the President upon the proposal of the Head of the Institute, from among individuals who hold at least a doctoral degree in the field of cancer, are distinguished by their works, research, inventions, or studies, and have successfully established and/or managed scientific and technological systems, institutions, and units. A member whose term expires may be re-elected through the same procedure.

Duties of the Science Board:

• To contribute to the national and international scientific activities of the Türkiye Cancer Institute in the fields of tumour immunology, cancer vaccines, cellular therapies in cancer treatment, and transplantation.
• To provide opinions and suggestions regarding the creation of future-oriented strategies and roadmaps in line with national needs, scientific developments, and technological trends within the scope of the unit's fields of duty.
• To determine the subject headings related to the Institute Unit in project support calls to be issued by TÜSEB.
• To make advisory decisions on matters falling under the jurisdiction of the relevant unit within the institute.
• To provide scientific support to macro projects financed by the Institute in the unit's fields of study.
• To make suggestions to the Presidency by planning scientific activities such as meetings, training sessions, seminars, courses, symposia, and similar events in relevant fields.
• To provide scientific support for activities aimed at the publication of books, journals, and reports needed in relation to the unit's field of duty.
