About TKE

Türkiye Cancer Institute was established under Health Institutes of Türkiye (TÜSEB) by Law No. 6569, dated 19 November 2014, with the mission of serving both the nation and humanity in the field of health sciences and technologies. Its objectives include enhancing and sustaining Türkiye’s competitiveness; addressing the country’s need for advanced technology and innovation in line with the priorities defined by the Development Plan and the Supreme Council for Science and Technology; enabling the production of new products and the improvement of existing ones; providing a scientific environment for researchers; conducting and commissioning scientific research in cooperation with public and private legal entities, as well as coordinating, promoting, and contributing to R&D activities; leading the development of a culture and ecosystem in health science and technology; and contributing scientifically to the establishment of accreditation standards in cancer-related health services. The establishment, structure, duties and authorities, as well as the working procedures and principles of the Türkiye Cancer Institute are regulated by the Türkiye Cancer Institute Regulation, published in the Official Gazette No. 29921 dated 17 December 2016.

The Institute consists of the Head Office, Science Boards, and five Departments.
