EuonQol Meeting
Within the scope of Horizon Europe Programme – Cancer Mission, of which Türkiye Cancer Institute is a partner, the first researcher meeting of “EuonQoL – Quality of Life in Oncology: measuring what matters for cancer patients and survivors in Europe”, chaired by Italy the project coordinator, was held with the participation of more than 65 participants on 27 February 2023 at 2 pm (GMT+3). During the meeting, information was given about the pilot study, which will be attended by 42 different centres in Europe, including Türkiye Cancer Institute (TKE). Outlines of the project and the roles to be taken by partner countries were handled.
The aim of relevant study package is to develop a new digital system called “EuonQoL-Kit” in order to collect feedback assessments and to evaluate quality of life based on feedback by conducting a predetermined survey of cancer patients and cancer survivors. With this aim, a questionnaire is prepared that will be translated into the official languages of all project partner countries, by the end of 2023, with the approval of ethics committee. As the pilot phase, the questionnaire will be implemented by participating countries on cancer patients in intensive care units, patients receiving cancer treatment, and cancer survivors by 2024.
