Development of a Native Hereditary Cancer Panel
This strategic genomic research project seeks to develop a hereditary cancer panel tailored to the genetic variants prevalent within the Turkish population, with the objective of integrating it effectively into national screening programs. By adopting an indigenous and sustainable methodology, the project aims to enhance the early and precise identification of hereditary cancer risk across Türkiye, thereby reinforcing personalized surveillance and preventive healthcare services.
The resulting native hereditary cancer panel is expected to advance the early diagnosis of individuals predisposed to cancer, enable comprehensive assessment of their genetic susceptibilities, and support individualized therapeutic strategies. Furthermore, the development of this panel will improve accessibility to genetic testing and represent a significant advancement in public health outcomes.
