Production of a qPCR Diagnostic Kit for the Detection of Common IDH1 and IDH2 Somatic Mutations
Developing domestic real-time PCR kits to reduce reliance on imports for cancer diagnosis and monitoring is a strategic step for both health economics and biotechnological self-sufficiency. Therefore, the aim is to develop a qPCR diagnostic kit to detect IDH1 and IDH2 gene mutations, which are critically important in the diagnosis of glioblastoma and cholangiocarcinoma. The production of a highly accurate test kit aims to reduce laboratories' dependence on imported kits for this test. The domestically developed kit will enhance Türkiye's technical competence in molecular diagnostics, enable standardization in diagnostic processes, eliminate risks associated with foreign supply, and provide clinicians with reliable data support for patient-specific treatment decisions.
