National Cancer Week Panel on April 1-7
The "Is it Possible to Prevent Cancer?" panel, moderated by Prof. Dr. Mahmut GÜMÜŞ, a researcher from TÜSEB-Türkiye Cancer Institute, within the scope of National Cancer Week Activities, started with the opening speech President of TÜSEB Prof. Dr. Hakan EROĞLU.
Starting his opening speech by stating that cancer has become an increasing health problem today, Prof. Dr. Hakan EROĞLU touched upon the importance of early diagnosis and treatment in cancer and mentioned that TÜSEB has established collaborations with various organizations including NGOs, universities, research institutes and international organizations in order to improve cancer prevention efforts and that TÜSEB has assumed important roles in this direction.
The "Is it Possible to Prevent Cancer?" panel, which emphasized that cancer is a serious threat to public health and the importance of early diagnosis and treatment in cancer, was held on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 with the participation and contributions of our esteemed speakers Prof. Dr. Bala Başak ÖVEN from Yeditepe University, Faculty of Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine - Medical Oncology Division and Assoc. Dr. Hatice İKİIŞIK from Istanbul Medeniyet University, Faculty of Medicine - Department of Public Health.
